The plot for the 'Elvis and Nixon' movie has been revealed with the release of the first trailer - and it is a COMEDY. The movie starring Michael Shannon and Kevin Spacey as Elvis Presley and Richard Nixon is scheduled for release in April 2016 and it looks like it will be a fun comedy. As it turns out, the movie is NOT about Elvis' visit to the White House' meeting President Richard Nixon in the Oval office on December 21, 1970, instead it is BASED on it, taking one fact and making a NON serious movie - well in fact it is clearly a very amusing comedy!!!

We all know Elvis went to see President Nixon, we know the story, and probably if they had of tried to make it a serious affair it would have been awful. Now take a look at the trailer and view it for what it is and enjoy. We did say previously 'Let us hope it is a much better movie than the In 1997 outing of the movie', well that tried to be serious, and ended up as nonsense, so we do believe we will end up with a fine movie here, just NOT what fans were expecting (hoping?) for. OK, so on first viewing 'Elvis' looked like, well I dunno - but once it was clear it was a comedy - and NOT poking fun at Elvis as such, just being funny, I can live with that ...

Elvis Presley Video Tupelo's Own Elvis Presley DVD

Tupelo's Own Elvis Presley DVD + 16 page booklet.

Never before have we seen an Elvis Presley concert from the 1950's with sound. Until Now! The DVD Contains recently discovered unreleased film of Elvis performing 6 songs, including Heartbreak Hotel and Don't Be Cruel, live in Tupelo Mississippi 1956. Included we see a live performance of the elusive Long Tall Sally seen here for the first time ever.

This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
