Elvis' Spring Fever Featured in Australian 'Spring Valley' TV Commercial

Elvis Presley's Spring Fever is the soundtrack to an animated TVC by GPY&R Melbourne for Schweppes Australia's Spring Valley which breaks this weekend. The ad is the first time a Presley song has been licenced for commercial use in Australia – features the work of US based animation house Psyop.
Schweppes Australia marketing director Darryn Wallace, said: 'Our objective was to create a new and exciting campaign for Spring Valley that had a broad appeal and after seeing it left everybody feeling happy, with an added spring in their step. We are wrapped with the final result; it is bright, colourful, has amazing animation affects and simply leaves you smiling'. As well as TV, the campaign will run across cinema, print, online and outdoor. Adshel bus shelters and street furniture will use flowers and grass along with Bluetooth-enabled technology allowing on the spot download of the Spring Fever Elvis track.
Spring Fever was first recorded in 1965 for the movie Girl Happy as a duet with Shelley Fabares.
'Spring Fever' is available on the 'Girl Happy' FTD Special Edition CD soundtrack.

Included we see a live performance of the elusive Long Tall Sally seen here for the first time ever.
This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.
The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
