James Reyne has recorded an album containing his versions of songs that have been made famous by Elvis Presley. The album is titled TCB and is to be released on April 9, 2010. James Reyne is well known in Australia.

Today I recieved an advance copy of the CD and while I am not a fan as such, to my ears the highlights are Burning Love, (Marie's The name) His Latest Flame, Girls, Girls, Girls, Little Egypt and Return To Sender.

James' musical career initially took hold in the early 80's when he and some friends formed the band Australian Crawl. With his prolific song writing and unique vocal style, James led Australian Crawl to the top of the Australian music scene. The band's popularity skyrocketed with all of their albums achieving top 5 status, winning numerous band, music and video awards, while James won hurrahs for the best male vocalist for 3 consecutive years. He also won acclaim as a songwriter - the song Reckless earning him a place in the league of homegrown greats.Australian Crawl achieved a success that assured them a place in Australian music history.

His first self-titled solo album went triple platinum and included three top 10 singles.

To celebrate the 'TCB' album release James will be performing two special theatre shows where he'll exclusively perform songs from this album along with other 'Elvis' material. The shows will feature a 8 piece band and while he won't be donning any white leather jumpsuits, it will be vastly different to how you've seen James perform in the past. He will not be performing any of his own material at these special theatre performances. These shows will be promoted as 'James Reyne Sings The King' to avoid any confusion. Friday 21st May 2010 - Palais Theatre, St Kilda VIC & Saturday 22nd May 2010 - State Theatre, Sydney NSW. Details are in the tour dates section of Click Here While visiting James site for the project you can listen to some of the preview tracks featured in the 'Listen' section. We will also ad some visual footage (hopefully prior to Christmas) in the 'Look' section following with some more preview tracks to the site over the next few months.

Elvis Presley Video Tupelo's Own Elvis Presley DVD

Never before have we seen an Elvis Presley concert from the 1950's with sound. Until Now! The DVD Contains recently discovered unreleased film of Elvis performing 6 songs, including Heartbreak Hotel and Don't Be Cruel, live in Tupelo Mississippi 1956. Included we see a live performance of the elusive Long Tall Sally seen here for the first time ever. + Plus Bonus DVD Audio.

This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
